Fitzgerald’s Nightclub – Chicago, IL

October 17th, 2009

The band called this the birthday celebration show.  Everyone in the band had an October birthday, including Mark who was celebrating the big 40 on the night of this show.  The band played a diverse set of old and new songs, including one unreleased song, “Thank You” with a funny explanation what the lyrics reference after the song.  Some of the highlights of the night were the rarely played “Tall Man” and “Angel”, a rousing cover of George Harrison’s “What is Life” and the weirdest version of “Almost Made It” you will ever hear as the encore.  The show clocked in at about 100 minutes and is well worth the download or listen.
